Summer Ministry

Donna and I just finished eight days of ministry at the Officers’ Christian Fellowship White Sulphur Springs Conference Center in Pennsylvania. Our focus was to teach military officers and families about the person of Jesus Christ and teach them how to share their faith in these turbulent times.

I never imagined I would be teaching Bible to a 3-Star General and a 2-Star General, but they were there all week with leaders from all the branches of the military. It is wonderful to hear the testimony of a General who annually reads through the Old Testament and the New Testament four times a year. The General’s favorite line was, “You can’t be changed by what you do not know.”

OCF is an extraordinary organization that builds Christian military leaders, families, fellowships … for a lifetime. We met many at the intersection of faith, family, and vocation. Officers from across the country who serve at West Point, the Naval Academy, Pentagon, and those returning from overseas assignments, active duty or retired participate.

These are quality folks … national treasures. We were blessed to have Marines, Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard! These Military Officers and their families sacrificially and devotedly serve our nation. So much has been asked of them in recent years. Pray for refreshment for these military folks and for the ministry of OCF.

Many have reminded me about my adventure at last year’s OCF Retreat when I had all of my teaching materials stolen, and then God miraculously answered prayer by having them found in another location hours later. I did not chain myself to the materials this year but watched the suitcase like a hawk. God provides.

I enjoy using Zoom with groups and being interviewed on Podcasts.
I have  recently spoken to Bible studies, university groups, men’s
groups,
military groups, church groups and their staff,
and prayer groups using these venues.
If I can serve your group, let me know.

Kingdom Callings

What gets me up everyday? My joy is to work with Political, Business, Military and Faith Leaders in a trust-filled relationship so they know Jesus Christ deeply and fulfill their Kingdom callings.

Dick Halverson, former Chaplain of the United States Senate, said, “In the beginning the church was a fellowship of men and women centering on the living Christ. Then the church moved to Greece, where it became a philosophy. Then it moved to Rome, where it became an institution. Next, it moved to Europe, where it became a culture. And finally, it moved to America, where it became an enterprise.” Let us get back to simply centering on the Living Christ and trust Him for results.
