Annually, the Capitol Commission State Chaplains from across the nation, including Zambia and South Korea, gather for four days for equipping, encouragement and fellowship. I have been on the planning team this year to bring our Gathering to Maryland and to our Nation’s Capital. Please pray for me and our leadership team as we host 63 people September 22-25. On Thursday the 24th we will gather at the United States Capitol. We will host Senators and Representatives, the Chaplain of the House of Representatives, Martin Luther King’s niece Alveda King, and will have a special meeting with the staff of the Speaker of the House. Os Guiness will join us on Tuesday. We are excited to commission five new ministers to lead ministry and to share the person of Jesus Christ in their own Capital Communities.
Maryland/DC Special Event at Forcey Bible Church
If you live in Maryland or in the greater Washington, D.C. area, we would love for you to join us! On Wednesday, September 23, Capitol Commission will be at Forcey Bible Church in Silver Spring, Maryland, for a special evening of sharing how God is opening doors for ministry inside America’s state capitols and in Washington, D.C.
You’ll hear from Capitol Commission ministers serving across the country and learn how we are teaching the Word, praying faithfully for our leaders, building relationships, and sharing the Gospel with legislators and government staff. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet our team, hear firsthand what God is doing, and discover how you can be part of this ministry through prayer and partnership.

Everyone is welcome—please invite a friend, groups, neighbors, and family members to this free event and join us as we proclaim truth and share the hope of Christ with those serving in government. Many people only hear bad news about government. You will hear good news stories of transformed lives and the proclamation of truth. We hope to see you there!
Fall Ministty
It is election season here and across the country. It is a privilege to walk alongside many new people who have made themselves available for public service. Running for office is not for the faint of heart. It is challenging, exhausting and a road littered with landmines. I pray, encourage and call leaders to the way of Jesus.
