God’s plan is not Programs but People. This is His Plan A and there is no Plan B. You can’t have Discipleship without Relationship. You can’t have Relationship without Trust. You can’t have Trust without Time. Monthly my calling is to meet with leaders and help them discover Jesus still says, “Follow Me.”

It was a joy to be with the men of Live Oaks Community Church in The Villages, Florida to speak at a two-day retreat. The topic was “Turning Buddies into Brothers.” It was great spending time with my friends, Pastor Bob Page and Glenn and Marcy Kelly.
Special Session at the Capitol
This picture below is fitting for the special session called by the new governor to address the Louisiana Budget Shortfall Crisis of nearly a billion dollars this year and 2 billion dollars next year. It is a privilege to have relationships with Legislators and Lobbyists at the Capitol and hold them and their work up in prayer. The regular three-month session starts tomorrow. These are important days in our state.
Bible Studies/Leader Faith Forums/ One-on-One
There are Bible studies every day of the week except for Saturday. There is power in the Word of God whereby leaders learn to say, “Yes” to the Holy Spirit. A couple of leaders have recently crossed the line and trusted Christ as their Savior. The thrill of seeing these divine transactions take place never gets old. It is the ultimate buzz and “helpers high.” I can only imagine how the angels are rejoicing.
“First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:1-4)
